Whitney Houston Portrait- African American Art
Hello again,
I have been working hard in the studio as you can see. I would be lying if I didn't tell the truth that this is really fun. Oh, yes its work but when the finished product is complete, what joy I have. This is another edition to the "Music Artists Series I (2009). This is actually the 4th one I've completed in this series.
This is is obviously Whitney Houston. Now, many people may not give her much respect due to her public life and marriage with former husband, R and B singer, Bobby Brown, but I have through this piece of art. I believe her personal business is just that-personal. I do not judge her and no one can deny what a awesome star she was and remains to be today.
I decided to paint Whitney Houston because she had such an impact on me growing up. She was one of the greatest female R and B, Pop artists in the 1980's and early 1990's. I know that many people love her still and this is a tribute to her because we honor her life in music and the gift of song she has graced us with. i believe she deserves to be honored even today as she has released her knew album this year:
