Art Institute Offers $2 Savings or Is It Really?

The Art Institute of Chicago, the second largest art museum in the U.S., is offering a $2.00 discount for Chicagoans. They are considering this discount at the same time of revealing their new Modern Wing in the Chicago Part District.

Though this may be some sort of savings in this recovering economy, it also comes at a time when proposed admittance fees at the museum will go up on May 23rd; which will be $18 for adults and with the discount, it will be $16. Childrens regular tickets are $12 and $10 for those living in the city of Chicago.

On May 16th, the Art Institute will open the Modern Wing to the Modern Wing. In this occasion, the museum will offer FREE admission to the Modern Wing between May 16-22.

The discount isn't really a discount but businesses seem to try to help the citizens out but they also have to find ways to keep things running.
